Bioinformatics Courses Offered in Fall 2009: Undergraduate and Graduate Level
The Department of Bioinformatics and Genomics is offering several Bioinformatics courses for Fall 2009, which are open to Bioinformatics students as well as students from Biology, Computer Science, Kinesiology, Chemistry, Physics, Math and Statistics. All Bioinformatics courses will be held in the new Bioinformatics Building. Any interested students please inform your adviser and the course's respective professor to register.

Undergraduate level:
BINF 4010: Introduction to Bioinformatics (Gibas) –Prerequisite: Genetics. Introduction to biological databases, commonly-used bioinformatics software for molecular sequence and structure analysis, and applications of bioinformatics analysis in biological research.
Graduate level:
BINF 6100: Biological Basis of Bioinformatics (Mays)
BINF 6200: Statistics for Bioinformatics (Du)
BINF 6201: Molecular Sequence Analysis (Su)
BINF 6111: Bioinformatics Programming I (Loraine)
BINF 6310: Analysis of Microarray Data (Advanced Statistics for Genomics) (Fodor) – Prerequisite: At least 1 semester of Statistics.
BINF 6211: Design and Implementation of Bioinformatics Databases (Weller)
BINF 6600: Seminar (Mays)
