Chaevien & Chaevia Clendinen | UNC Charlotte Biology majors | Interns in Dr. Gibas' Microarray laboratory | Project: Continuation of culturing & sequencing the Brucella Melitensis ORF library | Chaevien and Chaevia will each graduate with the BS in Biology from UNC Charlotte in June. From here, Chaevia is going to Princeton University for her PhD in Biology. Chaevien is going to the University of Florida for her PhD in Biology.

Eric Hastie | Received his BS in Journalism from University of Florida, currently pursuing a Biology degree at UNC Charlotte | Interns in Dr. Fodor's Metagenomics laboratory | Project: Assisting with the collection and analysis of metagenomic samples from human subjects.

Stephen McGee | UNC Charlotte PSM in Bioinformatics | Interns in Dr. Gibas' Microarray laboratory | Graduating with his Master's in December.

Aurora Cain | Received Bachelor's of Science in Computer Science at UNC Charlotte | Intern in Dr. Gibas' Microarray laboratory Summer 07 - Summer 08 | Project: Designing a visual analysis tool for genomic database sets | Currently a PhD student in Bioinformatics at UNC Charlotte.

Bartolome Calicdan | Received his Bachelors of Science in Biology from UNC Chapel Hill, pursuing a minor in MIS and a certificate in computer programming at UNC Charlotte | Intern in Dr. Gibas' Microarray laboratory | Project: Final design and implementation of LIMS system.

Meagan Davis | Biology major at UNC Chapel Hill | Intern in Dr. Gibas' Microarray laboratory Summer 07 | Project: Laboratory setup & protocol design | Graduating with a BS in Biology at UNC in May. She was accepted into the very competitive Breakthrough Collaborative (a teaching program for under-served, high potential middel school students across the country).

Shatavia Morrison | Received Bachelor's of Science in  Software Information Systems and minored in Biology at UNC Charlotte | Intern in Dr. Gibas' Microarray laboratory Fall 07 - Summer 08 | Project: Chromosomal separation & sequencing for Vibrio Vulnificus, Design of Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) for Microarray Core, Minimum nucleation of 50mer oligos & critical analysis of GEO microarray database submissions| Currently a PhD student in Bioinformatics at UNC Charlotte.
