InternshipsThis page contains information for PSM students interested in obtaining an internship. All Professional Science Master's students are required to complete an internship. Prior to the internship, the student must have the internship approved by the PSM committee. Please submit the Internship Approval Form to the Graduate Coordinator. Once the internship is complete, please submit the Post-Internship Summary. Post internship presentations will occur in early/mid Fall semester. All PSM students are invited to attend and supervisors are encouraged to attend. The required time to be spent on the internship project is a minimum of 20 hours/week for the equivalent of one summer session, although more is encouraged.
BINF 6400: Internship Project
Conditions of enrollment: Admission to graduate standing in Bioinformatics and approval of advisor. Course description: Project chosen and completed under the guidance of an industry or academic Objectives of the course: To gain firsthand bioinformatics experience in a “real world” environment.
